Stay Safe, Stay Home

Today the Governor stated that we as a state should
stay home as much as possible, we shouldn't congregate
or be closer than 6 feet of other people.
If it is necessary to work, then do so, but otherwise
continue to stay safe and stay home.
April 13th they will relook at things and decide our
future from there.
School will be online only until May 1st when they
decide the kids fate as well.

Home Church

For the past two weeks we have had Home Church,
because of the virus they have cancelled all sports, school,
dance, concerts....basically if there is a crowd of more than
10 people it has been cancelled.
Sadness has been around our house, missing March
madness, and all sports in general also dance and all
competitions have been postponed.
With all the things changing at a crazy rate, the spirit
in our home as Easton prepares and passes and Stockton and Peyton
bless the sacrament has been at a new level. I can't contain my tears
while I watch my boys do their priesthood duties.
I am so proud of them and all that they are doing
to help keep the sacrament and spirit in our house.
My parents have had the opportunity to join us each week
for Sacrament. The kids have blessed and passed the sacrament
then Peyton did the lesson on Jacob 1-4 and this week Stockton
did Jacob 5-7. I have loved listening to them bear testimony about
the things they have learned and are teaching to us.
Of all the crazy around the world and city now with the virus and
earthquake I love that our Sundays are set apart where we can feel the spirit
and enjoy a different kind of day.
I am thankful for my family and all that they teach me
for my kids testimonies even if they are too shy to say it out loud
I can feel it. For having some one on one time with my parents
to listen to their testimonies and learn from them.
I hope my kids will become better people from this experience
and learn that change is ok. I pray daily for them and for their future.
I know they are amazing people and love watching them grow.
Some of our Sunday activities
We decided to do some chalk art so as people walk
around the neighborhood they can see our encouraging words.

Earthquake.......

7:09am we were awoke with some crazy shaking
we had a 5.7 magnitude earthquake that literally shook our
house. We were swaying for a good 20 seconds.
only a few things fell off the shelves and broke, but nothing
in or around our home was harmed.
So thankful my family was near and that we could
be together to experience this.

I asked each kid to write their thoughts.

Honestly, I personally thought Easton was moving over in our bed. We sleep in bunk beds and whenever someone moves the whole bed moves, so I thought Easton was must moving so I was tryin to go back to sleep. Then it kept shaking so I kinda was like wait what's happening. Easton asked me "Are we in an earthquake?" and I since I didn't know I just said hold on and a few seconds later we were still shaking so I was like yes we are in an earthquake! After the shaking stopped mom and dad came down and got us and took us into their room. Me thinking only the worst put on a sweatshirt because I didn't have a shirt on and thought we'd have to evacuate. We walked upstairs and called all of our loved ones making sure they were okay. I'm so thankful for my parents and how calm they were under pressure and how they always put their kids first in situations! I Also my parents and all of my siblings and I am glad I am still alive and no longer scared of the quakes! ;) -Stockton

When it first happened I thought that Stockton was trying to be annoying and shaking the bed. So, I asked him kind of joking, "Was that an Earthquake" and he was just barely waking up and did not know what was going on. Then the shaking did not stop and then I was a little scared. Then my mom came running into our room saying lets go. Lets go. We went into my parents room and was talking about how it was a earthquake and that kind of started to freak me out a little bit. Once I realized that the earthquake had after shock. I wanted to just fall asleep and hope I don't feel the after shock. Once we felt an after shock then I was like that's not that bad. Now I am thinking that we are so cool because we "survived" an earthquake.---Easton Fox

It was very weird because I was in bed and my parents went to a movie and the boys were watching a show and I was in bed and I though that it was midnight and I really thought that the boys were being dumb and they were shaking my bed then I heard a thing fall and I thought it was my brothers then I saw my hammock and it was shacking like crazy so I woke up and looked at the time and it was only 7:09 so I ran into my parents room crying but it was really scary cause I didn't really know what was happening because I've never been in an earthquake so it was one of the scariest moments of my life. But I will be able to remember it because we were with our family and we weren't at school (Because of the dumb coronavirus) so I really felt the spirt with us because we were safe and nothing happened to use. And now I hope that we have the second coming coming soon, because 2020's world is changing. --Berklie Fox

I woke up to my mom running into my room and telling me to grab Berk and go into her room while she ran to go get the boys from downstairs. when I ran into the room I thought it was a bad dream but when I was fully awake I realized it was real. when I ran into the room dad was sitting there trying to get out of bed and while his wife was risking her life going down stairs to get the boys and bring them upstairs. I have to remember they can hit anytime and we have to be ready for them. the world is ending and hopefully the BIG ONE doesn't hit soon so we can be ready when it does.--Peyton fox

What an amazingly crazy experience we have had feeling an earthquake.
I have never felt one before and ill be honest, it was crazy weird.
I way laying in bed when I felt it and jumped up asking Skee if that was an
earthquake. He said yes and we ran to grab the kids from their rooms.
we are so lucky they were all safe and we had no damage to home or
person. The aftershocks are the crazy part, they have and can happen up to
weeks after the earthquake. They do make my heart race, but at least we know
what to expect.
The world is a crazy place.
Thankful I was home with my people when it happened.
Our only damage was my two decorations fell off
and broke, good thing for glue!!

Coronovirus....Quarantined

March 16th 2020 they decided because of the Corona Virus
Covid -19 that all school, church, sports and anything
with more than 10 people have been cancelled and we are to
quarantine ourselves in our homes and try to not leave
for 2 weeks, then they will relook at things.
With that being said, our Cruise that we were going to go on over
spring break has been cancelled:((
No March Madness, basketball all school sports
and work for Stockton, all gyms as well.
