Monday morning Easton had an 8am game
so we left the kids to sleep and headed into
town to get to the game. Easton was chilly,
but super excited and nervous to play in another
game. He got to the game and started practicing
when he started looking for Skee and I, I was
sitting in the car staying warm, and Skee was
just a couple feet away, when Easton started to
stumble and fell to the ground (passed out). He didn't put his hands
up or anything to stop him. Skee walked over to him
to see what happened. He was very pail and limp.
He just laid there looking very sick.
There were some very nice people that helped us
find out what was wrong and they suggested
we hit the ER. So off we went.
They did blood work and an EKG and things
were awesome. He ended up having a
Vasovagal Syncope. Which is basically his
blood pressure went really low and the blood goes
down into your stomach and your brain has
to take over and therefore you pass out. But everything
is normal and it happens. So we were able to leave
and he was able to play in the last game.
We are so thankful that all was well and that
Easton was ok. Scary situation for all of us, but
all is well.
