Lights at Temple Square

Our kids have never gone and seen the lights
at Temple Square so we thought we had better go.
We told the kids all about the lights and how pretty it
was going to be. As we got Berklie out of the car there
was a street light next to us....she looked up turned to me
and said "Wow that is pretty lights mom."
I love her, she is hilarious!!
We have been focusing a lot on the nativity part of Christmas
so it was fun that the kids got to see the Shepard's
and Wise men walking towards Baby Jesus.
Berklie was disappointed she couldn't go into the
water and see baby Jesus.

I made the mistake of saying we were going to see
Baby Jesus at the Temple. Easton thought we were really going
to see Baby Jesus and was mad that He wasn't real!!

We had a great time and luckily it wasn't
too cold. If fact the kids were complaining they were too hot.

Kangaroo Zoo

Jack and Lara are back in town for Christmas
and we wanted to play so we went to
Kangaroo Zoo.

We love week days there was no one there but us!

Buffalo Ranch

We spent Saturday morning cleaning up the Church from the
Temple party and after we headed to West Farmington
to Buffalo Ranches to meet Santa, ride the ponies
and go to the petting zoo.
I have to laugh, my kids all jumped up on Santas
lap and were totally excited, but once they got on his lap
they ALL froze. They sat there too scared to look
at Santa and they would just answer his questions without
even cracking a smile.

It is the same facial expression on each kid!! Too funny!!

All the kids loved the petting zoo except Stockton
for some reason he wanted nothing to do with them, he
didn't even want to look at the animals.

Then on the pony rides Peyton wouldn't do it, crazy
kids I thought I knew them!!
Sorry daddy that you got hay fever and had
to stand far far away, we love you and are still glad you came!!

Stockton

Stockton is such a sweet kid,
He is really struggling with his teacher
being gone, she went in for Heart Surgery this week.
He is so worried about her that he has been physically sick.
I sometimes forget that he is isn't a little kid anymore
and that he is growing up to be
a loving sweet boy.

Jazz Game

One thing I love about Skee is that when something
sounds fun, we just do it...no planning no preparing we just
drop everything and go.
He was offered Jazz Tickets so we headed into SL.
We were on the very top row!! The kids had a lot of fun.

We had a couple extra tickets so the
Tipton boys came and so did the Schreiners.
Berklie is into pulling faces!
We went all the way down to meet the Jazz Bear, but when
we saw the Jazz Dancers Berklie had to get a picture.
GO JAZZ
My crazy family
We sat and watched Alema and Thurl while they were on TV
and when I picked up my camera Thurl looked at me,
gave me a silly look (which I captured) then smiled as
I gave him thumbs up!!

Temple Party

My In Laws work at the Bountiful Temple on
Wednesday nights and every year they help put on a
Temple party for all those who work on their shift.
She always amazes me with the creation that is in her head.
We (all her children) have been putting this on for the past 6
years and every year it gets better and better. We have
never taken pictures before (not sure why) but this year
I had to get some.
My 2 little helpers!

Luckily their ward got to do their Christmas party
the next night!!

Flips Santa

Thanks so much to the Judy Allen team and Matt and Mo Draper
these Santa pictures are so cute.
Next year I will put some thought into their outfits!!

Big Girl

I got a phone call last week from Miss Mo telling
me that Berklie had made it to the top of her
list and could start dance in January. Well as excited as
we all are I had told Berklie that she had to be potty trained
before she could dance.....I thought I had till March!!
I didn't want to tell Miss Mo no so I sat down with Berk and told
her Miss Mo wants her to dance, but she has to wear
big girl underwear.
She is way more stubborn than the boys were, but
when it is her idea she does great!!

So far she has done awesome, her favorite thing to do is
sit with our ipad and go potty!
Good girl Berklie keep up the good work!!

Ward Party

We had our Ward Party this past week.
It was a lot of fun, the kids got to be part of
the Nativity. As I was getting them dressed, Peyton started
to get a little nervous and asked
how many people were going to be watching him. Funny
since he plays sports and has never worried about that.
Peyton was a shepard
Easton and Stockton were wisemen.
The cute primary singing Silent Night.
There was such a sweet spirit there, as the Nativity
was being read the gym was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
We always love to see the Big Guy!

Rivalry Week

We always love Rivalry week at our house, we have
lots of people to talk smack with and there is always
a vandalism that happens, unfortunately we didn't get
a picture of our BLUE snowman!!!
The guys always do a BYU UTAH football game, this year they
rented the Indoor Soccer place and played. The kids
sure loved running around on the field and playing as well.
Then we bundled all up and headed to the game!

We left Berklie and Easton at home, they would have
froze!! They kids were mad at me for making them
wear their snow cloths, but thanked me during the 4th quarter!!

Ill be honest, it was a crappy game on both ends, but
a win is a win right!! Sadly this is the last game during the winter months,
I'm not sure it will be the same once we are
in the PAC 10 and they are independent, but we always love
a good Rivalry!!
